UIDAI solves one of the biggest problem many users have with their Aadhaar number

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has addressed a common issue faced by users with their Aadhaar number. The UIDAI has now enabled residents to verify the mobile numbers and email addresses linked to their Aadhaar. This allows Aadhaar users to easily check the mobile numbers and email addresses associated with their Aadhaar.

The need for verification arose when UIDAI discovered that some residents were unsure of which mobile number was linked to their Aadhaar. This caused concerns that the Aadhaar OTP may be sent to the wrong mobile number. The new verification feature was introduced to address this problem and provide reassurance to residents.

To verify their email addresses and mobile numbers, residents can use the ‘Verify email/mobile Number’ feature on the official website or the mAadhaar app. This feature confirms that the email address and mobile number linked to the resident’s Aadhaar are accurate. It also alerts the user if a particular mobile number is not linked and advises them to update it if necessary.

If the mobile number or email address is already verified, a message stating that it is verified will be displayed on the screen. If a resident cannot remember the mobile number provided during enrolment, they can check the last three digits of the mobile number on the Verify Aadhaar feature on the Myaadhaar portal or mAadhaar app.

To update an email address or mobile number on their Aadhaar, individuals can visit the nearest Aadhaar center.
